Begin trekking from Machame Gate through lush rainforest to Machame Camp. Experience the mountain’s rich biodiversity and natural beauty as you set the pace for the journey ahead.
Ascend from rainforest to moorland, acclimatizing en route to Shira Cave Camp nestled in the alpine desert zone with stunning vistas.
Climb towards the volcanic Lava Tower, then descend to Barranco Camp in a scenic valley surrounded by towering cliffs, aiding crucial acclimatization.
Conquer the challenging Barranco Wall, ascend into high desert terrain, and spend the night at Karanga Camp, preparing for the summit push.
Ascend steeply to Barafu Camp at 4,673 meters. Rest and prepare your gear early for the midnight summit attempt.

Lemosho Route (8 Days)
The 8-day Lemosho Route is an excellent choice for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, offering a longer itinerary for better acclimatization and higher summit success rates. Itinerary
A member of our team greets you upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Transfer to your hotel with amenities including hot showers, pool, restaurant, and internet. Evening briefing and equipment check.
After breakfast, drive to Londorosi Gate for registration and picnic lunch. Trek 7 km over 3.5–4 hours, ascending from 2,100m to 2,650m through forest with possible sightings of colobus and blue monkeys. Overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Start at 08:00 after breakfast. Trek 8 km over 4.5–5 hours, ascending from 2,650m to 3,610m. Leaving forest behind, enter moorland and enjoy views of Shira Plateau and Kibo. Overnight at Shira 1 Camp.
After 08:00 breakfast, trek 7 km in 3.5–4 hours, ascending 240m into moor and heathland. Wildlife like buffalo and dik-dik may be seen. Hot lunch and overnight at Shira 2 Camp.
Early start at 08:30 for a 10 km trek (6.5–7 hours). Ascend to Lava Tower at 4,600m, then descend to Barranco Camp. Transition into alpine desert terrain. Picnic lunch en route.
Depart 08:30 for a shorter 4 km trek (3.5–4 hours). Climb the challenging Barranco Wall early on, then descend into Karanga Valley and ascend steep zig-zags to Karanga Camp. Hot lunch and afternoon views.
After breakfast, trek 5 km (3.5–4 hours), ascending 670m. Reach Barafu Camp for hot lunch and rest in preparation for summit day. Views include Decken, Kersten, and Rebmann glaciers.
Midnight departure for a strenuous 17 km trek (approx. 13 hours). Climb to Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak to catch sunrise. After summit celebration, descend to Barafu for rest and lunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp for overnight.
After breakfast, descend 10 km (about 3 hours) to Mweka Gate, receive certificate, and transfer back to hotel in Moshi. Time to relax or celebrate your achievement.
Check-out after breakfast and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey. Late check-out options available on request.
